I always feel that the city can never do enough to support the Boys and Girls Club and the Needs Council. These organizations truly help support the members of our community. Thank you. David

At our recent gathering we discussed how Night in Old Fredericksburg had improved and was doing allot to retain traditional activities such a better variety of German foods,”refreshments” and prizes for best waltzers and other dancers. We hope they will restore the childrens folkwear grand march and give all entrants prize ribbons as was done a number of years back.We encourage the City Council to approve their request of funds from the hotel/B&B tax refund from the state. Tom,
I believe you will be considering a request from the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce regarding funds for Night in Old Fredericksburg. I wish to encourage you and the Council to approve this request. NIOF is not the only major summer event we have here, but it may be considered the largest. It takes place during a time when the heat can affect business in Gillespie. Your support makes it possible to promote the event and encourage visitors in spite of the heat.
