This would help generate interest in the LBJ history, bring folks right in to the ranch and the existing airstrip that use to accommodate large planes, and expose large airplane owners and large donors to helping the federal government with it expenditures for upkeep on the LBJ ranch, generate support for the general area and keep the Lady Bird park and the local airport in balance. The 200-400 people everyday are going to be affected by the noise, lose of grassy area and trees. Everyone should be concerned that use the back side of the pavillon, the back side of the tennis courts, the back end of the swimming pool, the folks that use the baseball field and the row of travel trailors that generate a lot of revenue for the park and local area. The lost of city and school teams, winter texans and many others who enjoy the park will be lost forever. Already it is very hard to concentrate when little airplanes with no mufflers practice landings and take offs or helicopters buzz around and around. For a few exclusive owners of large aircraft or one emergency a month, the park and it atmosphere will be a great loss. Boo on those who are embarrassed because they can land here. Maybe it reinforces the greatest of our small unique city. I drove to Dallas/Ft Worth up 281 last week. I realize the big difference we enjoy here in the economic activity. Many small towns along 281 are about dried up.
