Tom,

I appreciate your inclusion of me on your list of people who are sent agendas of upcoming council meetings. Not too many residents of F'burg realize that you and I go way back to 1972 in our relationship. I no longer live there because of the vagaries of life, but because of you and Kelly, I'm kept apprised of what has happened (and is happening) there since the days when Fritz Town was an unknown small community best known for its groups of Tex-German speaking folks and its proximity to Enchanted Rock.

You're doing a great job, my friend! As you know, I'm a former mayor of a small town in West Central Texas, and I speak from experience.

Happy New Year to you and your family, and to all of the people of Fredericksburg, the biggest-hearted people in the state!

Tom, the airport is a county responsibility and since all of us who pay city taxes also pay county taxes, the county should pay ALL the cost associated with the expanded avigation easement at the golf course. Maybe us city folks can get something for our county taxes since we get no other services from the county. Those costs should include the cost to rework the golf course to keep it at the same standards currently existing. Maybe someday I will understand what services I get from the county for the taxes I pay to them. My thanks to the mayor and city council in the superb way you manage our city and keep our taxes as low as possible while providing great services. Thanks, Gene
