Tom, you know how I feel about the noise ordinance. It may need to be tweaked but in no way should time to comply at night be extended. Midnight all excess noise stops.
Thanks.

Tom, I’d like to address the sign issue. There needs to be consideration given to some of the businesses off of main roads, like one for the Herb Farm, and one for the Fredericksburg Event Center to let people know about these important places and how to get there. I’m not talking big giant signs, but nice ones that fit with the character of Fredericksburg. And while I’m on this subject, why is there this huge beer sign by the Ink Hut as you drive on Hwy. 16, across from Walgreens? That is really ugly and not with the character of Fredericksburg. Thanks for listening.

Speaking of SIGNS how do we get the City Council and the County Commissioners Court to join together for an effective Sign Ordinance?
The entry ways into Fredericksburg are becoming occupied with more and more businesses especially close to town in the ETJ zones which someday will be within the city limits of Fredericksburg.
What is needed is for the two government agencies to address the problem NOW to preserve the integrity of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County for the future.
Another business off of Main Street that could use a sign is the Fredericksburg Art Guild. It’s only one block off Main at 308 East Austin, but many people don’t know it’s there.
Two in a row – I’m on a roll – Noise Ordinance – is there an effective manner for the City to deal with a noise problem if the origin is in the county but the impact is with in the City Limits?
