RE: cardboard – what would be the difference as we now take cardboard
to the recycling center? My ? is what do you do with items that are
neither recyclable or picked up with trash?
Land is a scarce resource – given that – how many more landcells will need to be built over the next 50 years for Gillespie County?
Please note – I said Gillespie County!
There are any numbers of rumors about trash from out of Gillespie County being brought to our landfill please tell us this is not true.
in talking with the workers at the recycle , they tell me thatif the cardboard press is removed from the dump, plan on longer waits. the machine in town is not large enough to keep up with the demand. Will people start just putting cardboard in the trash cans? hope not. as long as we just come out of it break even or cost a little more, we will still be ahead by not placing it in the land fill.
