Public Hearings-
– Annexation of “green space” in Stoneridge Subdivision Hiway 16 N.
No action taken.
Unfinished Business (from June 20th)-
– Consider adopting ordinance for change in zoning and land use in area of E. Austin and N. Eagle (old Millers Court) from single family residential to commercial.
Homeowners from area protested having a three story hotel in area citing neighborhood and traffic concerns.
Denied 4-1.
“One of the most precious things we have in Fredericksburg is our sense of community and the intent of the council in 1986 when the zoning was changed was to create a buffer to retard intrusion of commercial property into residential neighborhoods.”- Tom Musselman
– Discuss and consider ordinance regarding no thru truck traffic on residential streets.
